Need help with Prunes and Custard clone

Hello,

I've nearly finished this pedal, however, when I plug in, no matter how hard I hit the guitar, it just sputters for a second, then dies out. I found 2 different tagboards, below, and went with the first one. I am not sure if having 2 100u electrolytics is right, because all the other schematics online only have 1 100u electrolytic. Could this be the problem? I've check component location, the cuts, links, and shorts at least 4 times and I'm still scratching my head.

These are the alternative components I used, since I didn't have those values.

Instead of 2k, I used 2.2k. (Below TL072)
Instead of 16k, I used 15k. (By diodes)

Is it the 100u capacitor difference, the alternative values I used, or something else that may be causing this low input sputter.

It's *almost* certainly something else. It sounds like the bias is way off, or the signal level is getting utterly killed, but there's a lot of things that might cause something like that. Your component changes are small and won't make such a big difference to the functioning of the pedal.

Some photos of your board (both sides!) would help. Maybe someone here can spot something that you've missed. If you're like me, the more I stare at something the less I see, so by the third time I "check" a circuit, it's not really worth doing at all..

So I used trim pots on the volume and blend. All the pots work, it's just the low input, and distorted in a non-Prunes and custard way. I know it might be difficult to see under the components, I do apologize for that.

OK, I got it working. I believe there is an error in the 1st tagboard. It's missing a jumper between row 1 and row 5, in the 4th column. That's how I got the input level to be normal and the circuit functional.
