tube sound fuzz mic pre

i had a thought.....do you suppose that you could
turn the anderton tube sound fuzz into a mic pre by putting
a transformer in the input?

It would be easier to just decouple the AC feedback in the first stage of one of these types of fuzz, this would give you the high input impedance you need for a mic.  

They're really poor linear amplifiers though, but might be good for replicating that lo-fi, distorted 50s blues thing...
