I'm building a PNP fuzz face using Perf (see schematic below) and I'm not getting an output sound.  I used an audio probe and isolated the drop in output to the 8.2k resistor.  The link between the C lead from Q2 to the 8.2k resistor still has an output (clean) but the lead on the the other side of the resistor has none.  I changed the resistor but am still having the same issue.  The C lead of Q2 has a voltage reading of 4.7v.  Any thoughts?

NPN you mean?  You mention a link, so that makes me think this is on vero/stripboard.  It sounds like your signal is maybe being grounded out at the junction of the 330, 8.2k and .01 output cap.  Maybe there's a cut that wasn't made?  Just speculating, pictures of both sides of your board would be very helpful.

Yes NPN sorry, I'm building it in perf (no connection between the holes).  I'll check but the 8.2k resistor is not near the ground source.

Double check the value of the 330 resistor?

i've often had problems with the 8k2 in this circuit, and I frequently find dropping it to 2k2 works wonders. You ideally need to make sure the collector of Q2 is biased to about 4.5V, and I've found 8K2 after the 470R drops it a bit too far. Try checking the voltage at the collector of Q2, and at the junction of the 470R and Q2. If it's a lot lower at the collector, try decreasing the 8k2 to something lower.
