Boss CS-2 powersupply limiter

I'm using an old Boss CS-2 compressor. It's supposed to reveive 12 volts through the old ACA type adapter. I'm using a regular 9v power supply. It works, but it doesn't get full power because of some limiter inside. I want to get rid of that, to make the pedal work as it should.

Am I right that removing R38 (470r) and D2, and putting a jumper in place will do the trick?
