Based on the 5F2-A Princeton.

every  thing works good but when I max the master and volume out it cuts out on me.
any ideas what I could do
I used 2n5457
Gear as of now
Gibson 2017 Les Paul Tribute T
Epiphone Les paul Special (upgraded)
Marshall DSL 20 Head
Peavy Valve king 20 W
2 X 12 Cabinet with celestion vintage 30 & celestion G12T-75
And a lot of pedals

GibsonGM

Make sure your pots are wired correctly and that any breaks in the tracks are done right.  Sort of seems like a short kind of problem...short to gnd somehow when they're dimed?   Indicates to re-check all your pot wiring, IMO.

Fixed changed Q1 from a 2n5457 to a j201. works good
Gear as of now
Gibson 2017 Les Paul Tribute T
Epiphone Les paul Special (upgraded)
Marshall DSL 20 Head
Peavy Valve king 20 W

I wonder why full volumes make the 5457 cut out?  Maybe the input level from volume pushed it out of bias?
