Hello everyone,
I'm new in this forum, I'm Tommaso and I live in Italy.
I'm building diy pedals (mostly booster and fuzzes) since 1 year so I'm totally a beginner.

I'm trying to understand how I could safely put a power output to a 9V pedal because a friend of mine is asking me to install it on a pedal I've built for him.

Something like the Boss chromatic tuner power output.
Can anyone help me to find out how to make it?

Thank you all!
Tommaso

Welcome!

I'm no pro either, but it shouldn't be that complicated. Just get another DC jack, drill a hole and connect the pins to the already existing pins of your DC in jack.
But keep in mind that when you use your tuner, you don't need the other pedals, so the current they require maybe can't be guaranteed when the tuner is on, unless it doesn't need that much. But when you now put a DC out to your distortion or whatever you want them to be correctly power all the time. So maybe the DC out can't provide enough current to do this.
But like I said: I'm no pro either!

That's how Boss made it:

Thanks man!
That's exactly what I was thinking and I needed some confirmation!
I'm gonna try it ;)

Please note the Boss jacks have 5 pins, not the common 3 pins we usually use.  They have it set up where DC in or out can be either jack, and still cut the battery off.
