Would a univibe result damaged having two selectable intensity pots?

So, in a forum vibe , Would it damaged the lamp having two selectable intensity pots with a footswitch?

i'd imagine it should be fine. i mean, when ya flick a switch for a light, its usually ok, so i can't see this hurting anything. i'd say go for it.
