Anyone built Tim Escobedo's PWM?

I had a question about PWM. The "EZ LFO" section says to connect the collector of the 2N3904 to pin 3. What happens to the 500K pot that is already connected there in the main Schematic?

Does the collector and the pot connect to pin 3 or does the collector go in series with the pot?

I believe you sybarite the 3904 circuit and remove the pot.  Try it on a breadboard.

keep the pot in place, its a range control for the LFO
