Ken Multi Analog Echo?

Hi, does anyone have info about these two boxes? I never heard of Ken Multi and can't find much on the net.
I just bought these (only 40 euros for the two). I will post some gut shots when I receive them, if anyone interested.

The Ken Multi looks very much like the Roland DC-20 analog echo. I wouldn't be surprised if they are similar.

Whenever an analog delay has an input volume control, you can pretty much bet that it has no onboard companding.  The volume pot is there to make sure that whatever the input signal is, it doesn't cause clipping of the delay chip.

The absence of companding, in turn, will mean that the unit is going to be a little noisy, and more than likely the lowpass filtering will be severe, or the delay times aimed for will be very modest, in order to compensate for that shortcoming.

I have a schematic for that Radio Shack unit.  It is MN3007-based, which means you're essentially looking at a feeble attempt to produce "reverb" using a single short delay time.  The "Expand" button simply inverts the delay signal before sending it to the outputs.  Impressive, huh?
