MXR Tap Tempo Switch - DIP switches - how does it work

Hi,

so I was thinking about building a simple little Tap Tempo Switch. And I wondered why the MXR M199 is so expensive. Then I found out it has some DIP-switching options (doesn't really justify the price). You can use a TRS-cable and the 3-pole DIP switch gives you the following options:

Now my question is not how to do something similar but how exactly do they do that. Because you can easily do those switching options with a 2-pole DIP switch, but I cannot, for the live of me, wrap my head around on how to do it with a 3-pole DIP-switch.

Again, this is out of pure interest on how MXR does it. So if someone has one of those MXR tap switches and could be bothered to open it up and take some pictures, that would be amazing. Or draw a schematic on how to realize these switching options the way MXR do it.

Thanks in advance.
