Do you recognize this PCB?

QuoteCan you supply your own clock on pin 5?

Technically it's only an output.   Probably buffered but you never know.   It occurred to me raise the VCO resistor to VCC to try to disable the internal clock then jam a new clock into Pin 5 with a low impedance driver.     You could fry the chip trying to find that out!

According to the water analogy of electricity, transistor leakage is caused by holes.

I like this game. Can we do more of these?

Mark Hammer

I may have some more for you.  Although I'm not sure if something from 2002 would be fair.

How "not fair"? Too easy, you mean?!

Mark Hammer

Nah.  "Not fair" in that it might be something that isn't found on any of the layout sights that have cropped up since that time, and does not present another instance of someone's identifiable "style".  I mean, just how many of the folks here would have layouts from Jay Doyle or Jake Nagy in their collections, or would have Aron Nelson's earliest Shaka Braddah layouts?  I would certainly tip my hat to anyone who might be able to identify it.  But I don't think it's much of a "game" unless most can play.

We did figure out that quad op amp and pt2399 based on how everything was connected....  We may still have a chance on a harder puzzle.  :icon_wink:

Ahem.

Well, there's not many of them, and I just noticed some of them are just schematics but not layouts, but still. Although I don't have Aron's early layouts, but I do have a layout made by Tomboy for Shaka Tube that's marked 2002 on it.
