Hi
Trying to figure out a loose connection in this pedal. Have had it in the drawer for some time, just opened it up today. Somewhat surprised by two giant caps glued to the 3pdt???

Also the soldering seems sloppy, and the pedal is filled with hot glue. There is also a component leg, bent up aginst the underside, and soldere to the traces on the pcb.

Curious to know, if anyone has got one of these, and can tell me if they are made like this, or if someone has been messing around inside it;)?

Best regards Kasper

Wow! That really is a piece of work, isn't it?!

Perhaps someone had bad hum problems, so stuck the two biggest caps they could find into it to try and smooth the supply?!

Sorry not to be able to offer anything more useful, I've never seen one before.

Can't figure out if the use of hot glue is for isolation or heavy vibration issues..  :icon_cool:

I built an easyvibe once. It looked similar. 4 opamps & 4 ldr-diode thingys. It had noise issues when using power supply ( ticking) Maybe the caps are for that?
