JHS AT: BS170 MOSFETs as replacements for BAT41 clipping diodes

Hi guys,
I just built a clone of the JHS AT using the PCB from PedalPCB. It's a great pedal!
I figured that the clipping threshold of the BAT41 diodes was way too low for my taste and replaced them with BS170 MOSFETs.
I wired the MOSFETs the way Jack Orman at muzique.com suggested it:

I soldered together the sources of two BS170s, put the drain and gate of one BS170 in the PCB holes connected with ground and put the drain and the gate the other BS170 into the holes of PCB facing the output of the opamp.

I highly recommend this option! Great sound!

Thanks for the recommendation! I do happen to like the way the BS170s distort. I've built a few modified versions of Jack Orman's MOSFET booster and was always surprised by how good they sound when they clip.
