Hey guys. Got a quick question Im hoping someone can answer. I need to replace the pots on a V2 Electric Mistress but cant find replacements. The values are B10k, B100k, and C1m, all CTS 24mm. The main issue Im running into is the stock pots and knobs are "D" shaft but Im only finding knurled shafts.

My question is.... I noticed Smallbear has all 3 values, but again knurled shaft. So does anyone have any experience with the Smallbear CTS pots? Can I take them apart and insert the "D" shafts from the old pots Im replacing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks once again guys!

The hardest one to find is C1M.

I suggest slicing off half of the split shaft and adding a shim if necessary to create a usable D shaft. Same idea for the 100K linear. For 10K, you'd have to slice off half the shaft of a full-round pot using a Dremel tool. WEAR GOGGLES!

You could always build up the needed part number from Bourns and Google search to see if someone has them. The PDB24-series looks to have all of the required replacement options.

Good Luck  ;)

Do they really all need replacing? They're one of the easier models to open and repair - See 'The Secret Life of Pots' over at geofex.

I got the impression that the OP is trying to repair and sell with like-original parts. Otherwise, why not just throw in some 16mm pots which are easy to find and install? And why not just get the knurled shaft pots if he already found them?

I ordered 1 of every kind of similar pots along with a few caps and what not. Now I ordered on the 5th but on your site it says "awaiting fulfillment". What does that mean exactly?

This is a clients unit. It was damaged during shipping and all 3 pot "wafers" are broken so they all need to be replaced. Also, the clients wants it original as possible.

Im hoping the pots I ordered from Smallbear will allow me to rebuild the ones I have.
