Way Huge Conquistador topology?

Hi there,

I'm working on a *very* gated fuzz and while doing so I realized that the Way Huge Conquistador sounds kind of similar to what I'm working on in some settings. I was curious what topology the Conquistador is but could not find any info. I'm guessing it's a (modified) clone of something, but of what? Does anyone know? My circuit (coming soon, promise) is quite unusual and I would be a bit bummed  to find that there is a pedal on the market using the same or very similar topology to achieve the same sound.

Like most WH pedals - it's probably a modified copy of something else.

Tone Bender perhaps?

Based on the gutshots the general consensus is that it's based on a silicon Tonebender.

thanks! Confirms my suspicion that most commercial companies in the "boutique(-ish)" segment could probably be a bit more creative if they tried. Imagine if today's Toyota Corolla was just the same as the 1966 Corolla but with a slightly tweaked motor, 10% better fuel efficiency and an extra gear. Anyway, I digress. My thing has nothing whatsoever to do with a tone bender, so that's good news for me.

yeah, the conquistador is a silicon tone bender indeed, but in my opinion, not a great one at that.

a friend i have collects tonebender clones and i have played through a bunch of fuzz pedals based on tonebenders and imho the conquistador is not very high on the list, especially on bass, it just doesn´t have the magic other Si tonebenders seem to have.
