Just a quick question for those who have built a no-frills, original schematic RP: Does it go 100% on-off, or do you always find there's a little clean signal in there?

Reason I ask is that I have two pedals, one which I think is just the stock circuit, and it goes 100% hard, choppy on-off. However, I've just got hold of a boutique version of the circuit, which doesn't. There's always a bit of clean signal in there. I picked this up second hand, and there's an internal trimmer, which I assumed had been adjusted but after getting in touch with the builder, they said it's behaving as it should, and that the original units didn't go fully off at any point in the cycle.

There's a few demo's on youtube of the original plug-in units, but they're all pretty badly mic'd. You can hear the acoustic strum of the player so I can't tell for absolute sure if the effect itself is going completely silent. It sounds like they are, but it's hard to tell.

I've built a couple of these and when running them on their own it seems as if its 100% on-off hard chop. I noticed however when running a fuzz in front of it you can hear a little bleed through
