Chapter 1 seems to be missing?  I didn't check the rest...

Yeah that's a shame about chapter 1 but it's all the more reason to support the publisher I guess, eventually.
I'm just grateful for whoever took the time to put the resource in the public domain as hardback copies are about £50 a pop.

I believe it's widely regarded that this 2nd edition is the cream of the crop - The 3rd edition omits some of the useful examples (like bad circuits) and entire chapters found in the 2nd edition; and presents a more 'coursework' approach - it does however include the addition of up-to-date op amps and such but the principles remain the same.

Google it if you're interested in evaluating the contents before making a decision.

I have a 1979 copy of Horowitz' "Practical Design with Solid State Devices" here I'd be willing to part with.   $ TBD PM if interested.

Edit - this one is written by MANNIE Horowitz, whereas the book in the OP was written by Paul Horowitz and Whatsisname Hill.  No idea if they are related.  Looks like Mannie Horowitz wrote a bunch of books on audio amplifiers.

I think Hill released the 1989 2nd Ed to Public Domain a few years back. And I have seen a better scan, tho I don't have a URL for you.   EDIT --- unclear

The 3rd has been out a while.

Recently-printed "Volume X" extends the series in case you need more.

Wasn't aware of this books, thanks for enlightening. Chapter 1 is missing, but i'm fine with that, there's plenty of this sort of stuff around for anyone who may be interested in foundations.

I was lucky enough to take the class he wrote that book for as a night school class some years ago.
