Hi all,

There are, of course, the Allen Bradley's that can be found on ebay and surplus shops, but does anyone happen to know of a Manufacturer and part family for resistors with extra long leads?  Or actually, any inexpensive passive component with longer leads; say 2" or so?

Thanks!

hey, i have hat this same question 3 years ago, when i was building a terminal strip build, i have searched and decided on buying a roll of .5mm2 bare copper wire to splice the leads longer. what do you need the extra length for?

Hi Iain,

I actually had the same idea a few hours after posting.
What I think I'll do is just order some 22AWG Tinned Solid Core wire.
It's actually a better solution since it's ultimately what i'm looking to achieve!

what is the reason that you need the extra length anyways? terminal/turret board?

Are you sure one end of 2" lead "extension" should be kept soldered fix when soldering the other end of it..??

I really just need a lengthy jumper that will help guide a PCB into an assembly.  After it is soldered the jumper is trimmed to about 3/8"
