I'm after these knobs but the seller doesn't seem to ship to the UK and i'm not able to contact him through ebay. Anyone seen them before?

yes i have seen them before, in the bar where i used to volunteer, there were like 25 old tube radios laying around as deco, and a small gray/silver/black one had those knobs.
friendly reminder: all holes are positive and have negative weight, despite not being there.

cheers

Maplin used to sell them. I had to buy a few at times cause it's all they had - I don't much like them. In some quarters they are called "wing knobs" which is more descriptive.
Sorry I don't know a vendor. The ones that tended to shadow Maplins range don't have them either. They may have finally been discontinued.

Look a lot more like test equipment knobs than radio knobs. You find stuff like that in surplus electronic websites, though sometimes they are cheap but other times they want original list price which could be $10 each, those good ones will have 2 set screws.

Yeah i love the look of old test equipment and RF generators, like you say the knobs are eye wateringly expensive for NOS though. I've often thought about getting some custom made but i think the set up costs for something like that are astronomical.
There was a thread on here a while ago about making your own with silicone moulds and epoxy but i don't really have the time
