Just made the Tim Escobedo Bronx Cheers (with transformer) but having a few issues. It does seem to work but I'm getting a problem with the volume. When I use hard attack I get no volume which persists even when I play softer. Eventually the circuit seems to turn its volume up and I get the whole thing synth style etc but soon as i change attack the soung goes again.

I'm sure all the moms ereading this think its a fab mod but I don't! Any help would be gratefully recieved including Tims!

Cheers

Hey there!!! I am having the same issue with my first pedal, a fuzz face with 2 bjt and a jfet first as buffer: low volume during hard attack. The volume recovers quickly. Somebody know this problem and its solution?

Welcome.

Don't attack it so hard.

Every circuit will crap-out if hit too hard. Some will "faint", go quiet until they recover.

Quoteand a jfet first as buffer:

missing gate bias resistor? can we see a circuit diagram, and what you've built, please?

and also welcome.
