Aion Comet DS1, fuzzed low sound

Aion Comet DS1 VINTAGE build.

when engaged it has a super low fizzle sound. almost like a low power broken speaker sound.

I was thinking I possibly have a fake IC TA chip.

Does any body have any thoughts? I thought the TA chips might be incorrect. It still has that low broken speaker sound. The tone/dist and volume all work. the switch engages and the LED works.
