Two questions about component leads (vero/stripboard)

So to follow up - I just ended up soldering together clipped component leads until these arrive: http://www.banzaimusic.com/0-ohm-pk-100-sku50358.html (holy @#$% Banzai are slow in these times of Corona...)

Works very well. I did a few of 'em not for use to test their mechanical strength, tried ripping them apart. They hold together very well, I highly doubt any will break or cause problems when it comes to troubleshooting the veros.
