A little help with the Hot wired

ok built a hot wired from here http://tagboardeffects.blogspot.com/2017/11/wampler-hot-wired-v1.html
Ch1 works great, ch 2 is where the problem is, it has a weird distortion to it. hard to explain.
used a jrc 4580DD using 9v the readings on 5-6-7 don't seem right to me.have reflowed the solder checked for bridges and rechecked all hookups

Check voltage on right 1M resistor upper leg..

If so,  check continuity between lower leg and pin 5..

ok got continuity between lower leg and pin 5.

Then you should measure 4.48V on pin 5..
(unless there is some light short between pins 4 & 5..)

Power off, take off IC and measure continuity between pins 4 & 5..

yes i got continuity between pins 4 & 5..36.k
I don't see any thing between pins 4 and 5 at all

I re cut on both sides of all ground traces. still the same
