Antiquity Fuzz - Joe Davisson

After building the Vulcan I got the clever idea I should try this diode on the input of a transistor stage with the fuzz face. Of course after a few minutes on google I realize Joe had already thought of this.

So figured I should build it! I sprang Monday working out the Eagle schematic and board. Today I milled the board and soldered it up.

I bought the Chinese cnc and was working on milling boards. You have to watch the dust. Most boards from China i can smell antifreeze or a glycol like substance. After a while my nose was burning. I now order boards from jlcpcb.

I'm using FR1 which is some kind of resin and the mill is enclosed. They recommend against using FR4 which is fiberglass unless you have some special equipment.
