Transistors wrong voltage little help

ok, nyc big muff. transistor voltages off. what am i missing? I checked all the normal stuff I can think of.

Q1
E  .0 v
B  .56 v
C  8.25 v

Q2
E  .00 v
B  .56 v
C  8.21 v

you are right i had the pins mixed up. a lot of the time the diagram don't match the pin out.

Almost 8V reverse B-E bias shouldn't be considered favorable for long heaslthy life of BC550, should it..??

There's three versions and often you can guess what it is from the part number.

There are always exceptions.  2N2925 (USA - Thomas Organ wah transistor) is ECB, I suspect others in that series are also.

Usually, it's a great idea to check the datasheet/pinout, or read the comments/build reports to see if there are anything on reverse transistors. Unless you draw the layout by yourself using a trustable software/library, like Eagle + MadBean library.

Last but not least important, how's the volume on this one? And did you liked how it sounds?

There are always exceptions.

Sure.   The datasheet is always best but for a quick check that pic will cover a heap of cases.
IIRC when BC548 etc. first came out you could get them in non-European pin-outs,  they weren't in production long.
