I used to make Zippo lighters not work, just by using them normally. put in flints, put in gas, even put in new wick. also modulation etc, pcb's.

Oh also, just a few days ago I doused some pcbs in acetone and started scrubbing off the toner mask from the first one before realising I hadn't actually etched them yet.

Are you all part of the reason I can't buy acetone by the gallon anymore?

Ah alright you got me. As far as I know it's not even a restricted item, I just recall a cokehead once telling me how useful acetone was for cleaning his "gear" and wondering if buying it bulk would get me placed on some sort of watch list.

These days I just buy it as nailpolish remover. Incidentally the brand I've been buying lately claims to be Vegan friendly, so, at least I know have something to offer my brother-in-law to drink next time he pops over.
