The Hyperflanger seems the nicest sounding. Good job getting it done.

The Alesis is a weird little beast.  Also stereo, it has a number of interesting modulation capabilities, some of which are similar to the Liqua-Flange.
I thought the Alesis sounded really good! Except at the fast end, but that just means there's enough adjustability. Will keep my eyes open for a used cheapo.

That whole Alesis series is really interesting and forward thinking ( http://www.effectsdatabase.com/model/alesis/modfx ).  By all rights, they should still be in production, but came and went all too quickly, and now command high prices on the resale market.

I have the Ampliton and Bitrman. While amazingly good effects units, with well thought out parameter configurations, I think what did wrong in that line was the enclosure format. They're just not foot friendly in any way shape or form. They look like they were more geared towards the DJ/studio market, which is a shame because I've really enjoyed them with guitar driven signal chains. The piggyback serial connection scheme is OK, but if it wasn't there, I wouldn't have cared. Load these into a smaller more robust package (think Chase Bliss, et al.) and they would kill.
