Mini Foot switch in battery compartment of boss enclosure? Show me what you got

hey fellas

anyone successfully drilled a hole in a boss enclosure in the battery compartment, installed a mini foot switch dpdt or 3pdt, and have it work with the existing stomp panel on top?

i have seen it done a few years ago at my place of work, a concert venue, a guy who played one night had done that and put a fuzz face in a boss chorus enclosure.
never mind, i re-read your post, he had the 3pdt sticking through the lid of the battery compartment.
