Hello:
Just finished building the GGG ToneBender Silicon Version.
Instead of using a 9 volt battery, I am using a 12 volt A23.
Substituted a 1K Linear Attack pot in in place of a C (does not affect my question).
Q3 is 2N5088 in lieu of 5089.

Question:
What do you think of the values I measure at Q1 Q2 and Q3 ? (Hfe of Q1 and 2 is 283)
Would changing R12 (100 ohm) make a difference ?

Thanks for any comment..
Paul

Do you know what you're doing?

GGBB

The "specs" are in reference to a 9V supply, so Q3 collector is adjust to 1/2 9V supply. For 12V operation, Q3 collector should be adjusted to ~6V.

iainpunk

trim q3 to about 6v or 7v when using a 12v supply.

for the rest, if it sounds alright, it is alright.

cheers
friendly reminder: all holes are positive and have negative weight, despite not being there.
