Hi forum,

I recently finished the beloved Timmy from PCB guitar Mania, after some test the pedal was working. Then I put it into the enclosure and the pedals stopped to work.
When I connect it to my power supply (Harley Benton Powerplant Iso-2 Pro) the light on it turns red, which means (according to the user manual) that "an output is overloaded".
I tried to look for some answers online and here but couldn't find anything helpful.

So if anyone knows how to fix this issue, to what it could be done, just tell me ^^

PS:
About the two toggle switch, it took them off but it was still working after taking them off so the problem does not come from there.
Potentiometer do not touche the PCB.

Hi Baranouil,

It is hard to say what is exactly wrong. You need to post voltages. There are suggestions what to post if you need help debugging a build. Look that up.
Having said that: at first glance at the second pic it looks like the wires going to your power supply are shorting at the pcb.
Maybe check that first.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forum, Baranouil!

What Marc said...check the power supply connections!!   "Overloaded" I would assume means the supply is being asked to deliver more than it can output - in other words, possibly a short, and that could easily be one!

Oh, yes, I should have welcomed you too! Sorry, welcome.
Looked again at your pictures and maybe if that powersupply connection is not the culprit the reflow your soldering. Some of your solder work looks like they are touching another close by. But that is just form looking at the pics.

Thanks everyone for the welcome greetings and also for your help.
Indeed the wires going to the power supply were shorting the PCB. After a better soldering everything is back to normal!

Again thank you all!

PS: the pedal sounds even better, is it because i'm happy it has been fixed? ^^
