ROG splitter blend modification help

I made the ROG splitter blend and I really like the parallel options.  However, I wanted to modify it to run the pedals in series.  I thought it would be simple to place a SPST toggle between the return of one effect loop and the send of the second loop.  However, it did not work.  Do you all have any suggestions as to how to create a modification to switch between the loops running in parallel and series?

For reference, attached is the perfboard wiring diagram and schematic.

As always, thanks.

Hi,

There's a post about it here which can probably answer your question:

It also includes a schematic, which btw uses a DPDT switch.

Thank you. Somehow, I missed seeing that post. That post answers my question well. Thanks again.

I just built one the other day. Never thought of adding a serial option, but I think you can do it with (1) 4PDT switch and have one switch available to do different LED colors. Have one leg on both sides of the blend pot, and one leg to split the input buffers.

My idea does not work. Could not get the Red channel to work during series operation. When I unplugged both cables on the Red side, I still had signal going thru. When I plugged a pedal into the Red channel in series, and turned on pedal, heard a clicking sound. The Green channel worked as it should.

Don't know but maybe the reason is the "red"signal in series goes through U2A, then U2B and again trough U1A and U1B. I think I would place the switches between the opamps, so at the red return, before U2B switching to the Green send (just after U1A).

Btw, if you like modding the pedal, I built one some time ago with a (switchable) jack to replace the potmeter with a cheap expression pedal (m-audio), for hands-free blending  :).

Good luck with it,
