I'm building a PNP Ge fuzz face in the Sunface config. It sounds amazing, I have an OC44 in Q1 and a NKT 275 in Q2. One little issue I'd love to understand, When the volume and gain is maxed out it gets pretty treble forward. If you back down the gain or volume a little bit it can turn a bit too dark really fast. I've experimented with the I/O caps but its like it needs just a hint more low end to engage only at maxed-out volume and gain. Has anyone ever ran into that issue? I'm using a 250K pot for volume just fyi.

Place a 100R or so resistor between C1 and GND..
(It might work for both Fuzz & Volume pots..)
If issue persists for Volume pot, place another resistor (Rx) between Vol pot lug 1 & GND..
(its value should be about 25k or so, also dependent on next effect input impedance, but better tweak it untill you get practically no output audible volume..)

Fuzz face, use your guitar volume. Leave fuzz on max, adjust vol for output level and use your guitar to clean up or brighten up. Sunface uses a 1uf at the input anyway not 2.2uf.
