Enhancing Marshall Jackhammer JH-1 with mods

Hi there, I found some time to fiddle around with this pedal I had neglected for ages. Granted is has bad reputation, since you can make it sound really bad and there is a ton of bass overall.

In short these are the changes I tried so far, and it has made a great difference:
R33-> 62K
C12-> 200nf
C22-> 220pf
Removed D4 AND D5

Now the Distortion channel is much more usable. Less bass, sounds really pleasant.


Still I would prefer having just two OD modes....

My question is about modding the clippling for something less harsh...I got removed both 1N4148 D4 & D5 of the Distortion mode clipping, so how about I move one of the red leds doing clipping in OD mode and put it into the Distortion clipping mode (say D5), so the clipping would result: red led asymmetrical in OD mode, or red led symmetrical in DIST mode. Has anybody tried this red led asymmetrical clipping?
