hi everyone. i've been having a bit of trouble sourcing DPDT and 3PDT (and for that matter SPDT) slide switches that are vero/breadboard friendly so i can install them right on the board. i hoped some switchcraft and cw industries ones i bought through surplus along with a batch from mouser would do the trick but all have real strange pin spacings and i cannot use them easily. does anyone have any suggestions as to companies or types i can look into using? any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think I would design a small PCB to mount the switch on. Sort of a breakout board :)

I see a flaw in the plan. the switch would have to be as wide as a DIP IC in order to use all the pins. The 6 pole linked above could go at one side of your BB with the button overhanging the edge, but you would only get 3 separate changeover poles since the side to side pins would be in the same bus strip - oh and you'd probably have to carefully twist the flat pins 90deg to fit in the contacts nicely (have to do that with skeleton trim pots anyway).
A 2 pole gets you an SPDT, a 4 pole gets you 2PDT, 6 pole 3PDT.

PRR

Solder 1-inch stubs of #20 wire to all the pins and play Twister(r).
