AA113 diode

would anybody of you use AA113 diode for clipping...i have  hundred of them

yes, try them out

i have about 40 or so AA117 diodes and they are probably really close to eachother. i found they are a bit different in sound from other Ge's and sit in between more typical Ge diodes and Si diodes, they have a Vf of about 0,4 and a relatively high capacitance. sounding a bit softer than Si clipping and less compressed than other Ge clipping, but its quite subtle as all diode clipping changes are.
