Mxr dynacomp easy for beginners?

So I wanted to build a compressor pedal from the ground up. I've built a opamp overdrive before. Now I'm wondering if the mxr dynacomp is easy or if it has its challanges to build. I saw some people talking in the forum about how the Ca3080 was a bit troublesome.

Is there another easy compressor, then please tell:)

That's for sure, Tom but take into acount that transistors are BJTs..
