voltage and reverse polarity protection

wow, very interesting component, but a single diode drop isn't something that bothers me in most cases, and a diode is literally 1/20th of the price. although it doesnt protect against over current, but i have never had a pedal fail in such a way.

i think its an excellent protection for breadboard setups and the like, and i will be looking in to ordering a few for my breadboard boxes.
