Hi guys, I need to make a Talkback Mic Mute Box...I basically want to be able to connect Female and Male XLR jacks to a Momentary SPST Normally Open Arcade button, so when unpressed Mic is muted and I have to press button to Talk...It seems pretty simple, but I'm just wondering...Can I connect Pin 2 of both XLR jacks to the 2 lugs of the SPST switch so that it connects the 2 when pressed and disconnects them when not pressed, or will Pin 3 always connected still be a problem for unmuting/muting a Dynamic mic?...I know I can do what I want with a Normally Closed Momentary SPST switch, but I have SPST Normally Open Arcade buttons that I'd like to use if it's possible...My other question is, if I'd have to add in any Capacitor/Resistors and where to avoid any Popping sounds when unmuting Mic etc.?...Hopefully someone can help me by letting me know the best way to do this with a Momentary SPST Normally Open switch, thanks.
