hey guys my friend dropped off a soul pog to see if I can get it running again. it has no clean signal in bypass and also no effect. I have tried different power supplies. the leds all work. I've tested the 3pdt switches and the continuity between jack are there.i looked under a microscope for loose or cold joints. even reflowed the stitches. the only little bit of effect sound is when I use the send jack as an input. stumped here because I have never had a pedal where even no clean sound gets throug..
anyone have any knowledge or tips?
thanks.

it be cool to get it working again

yikes. you're biting off a lot of hassle. at first when i looked at this, i saw the send jack as giving some signal. if it were a return jack, i'd expect that.,, so check the switches on the jacks. send/return jacks usually have switching jacks, and corrosion on either one could kill the signal dead. its well known and a common cause of intermittence and audio failure.

I ++ Jimi's suspicion.
You can fit a patch cable into send & return so it loops right back and bypasses the jack socket switches to prove it.

I ++ Jim's approbation on Jimi's suspicion.. :icon_wink:

I think that if the effects lop is the problem then you would still get bypass sound.  If you aren't getting clean bypass then that is the first thing to get working.  All EHX pedals I have seen use a 3PDT true bypass.  I would be suspecting that the switch is dead and needs replacing.  You can check it with a multimeter checking for continuity and making sure that all the switch connections are as they should be in both positions.

Can you post a few photos of the insides of this thing, please?

the analog stuff, sure.  but not all the digital stuff uses analog switching.
would have to see some gutshots.

Yeah, that was my thinking too, Jimi. "No sound at all" makes me think of a digital pedal that just uses a straight-through from input ADC to output DAC to provide the "Bypassed" setting, so when something dies, you don't even get clean sound.

But that's not the only possibility.

hey guys just seen all these awesome replies was away on vacation. took out the 3pdt switches and tested them with a meter. they are ok there. put 5volts on to the relays and they are clicking and working.
