Line 6 DL-4 volume mod actually values for unity gain

I had used the guide and specs long ago posted initially I think by Steve Tripps that had the resistor values at like 24 or 26k. I did this and found the volume still too high. Especially if I use the looper function, which I often do, switch from the Mode selector from a delay preset to the looper function I get a volume boost. Has anyone experienced this/what values did you find make it to unity gain?
