Sun face clone signal delayed when engaged

Can you check your wiring.   It could be you are wiring the signal ground to the -9V rail.

When you combine a PNP Fuzz Face and a -9V charge pump the signal ground
for the input jacks and the Fuzz Face ground must connect together.  The Fuzz Face
ground is the point where the emitter of Q1 and the 1k and 22uF cap join.

Also, when you add a 2M2 input resistor the resistor would go between the effect input
and the signal ground.

I can account of 0.2s power up delay if you have the signal ground wiring to -9V
instead of 0V.    You would see this delay on the first use.

The schematic in the link in reply #10 has the correct wiring.  The grounds on the schematic
are also the grounds on the input and output sockets (and switching if you have any grounds
on the switch)

As shown is the incorrect wiring and the delay that results.
