Hello, completely new to schematics. I wanted to make some changes to this old, simple On/Off pedal. Namely, removing the battery pack, changing the output to mono, and DC adapter instead of AC. Did I get everything right? My confusion is mostly with the stereo to mono jack. Thanks for checking it out, I could use any help  ;D ;D ;D

Yeah, looks pretty right, but for the cost of components and all the effort, Here's one someone prepared earlier, likely will do all the same as your circuit and then some, for cheap as chips.

But where is the fun in that? Well the fun comes from instead of building pedals, in practicing and learning to be proficient playing your guitar, which after all is the main ambition in all this effect pedal accumulation!

QuoteDC adapter instead of AC

It is DC. "AC adaptor" turns mains AC into DC, exactly what you want and what's already there.

QuoteChanging the output to mono

The output is mono. The input is also mono but uses a stereo jack to save the battery when nothing is plugged in.

What are you trying to achieve? No offense but your plans don't change the functionality of the pedal.

Tad risky for whoever drew the original to have labelled a beginner's circuit as having an AC input.
I'd suggest they let go of that convention when drawing diagrams, but their ability to let go probably depends on whether their RCD tripped!

I mean why do anything at all? I see it as building a model airplane and I get to learn a little, too  ;D

I'm just trying to simplify the circuit. I still want it to function as an on/off but without the battery part  ;D

Yeah, I don't have much experience with electricity, still trying to figure things out  ;D

Thanks for the help, guys! I just built it, and it seems to work as required  8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
