Hello:
Question:
What does C6 do (technically) shown in the upper right between pins 1 and 2.
Changing it does change the sound.
I am thinking of switching a couple or few capacitors.
Thanks

It bypasses (shunts) IC1a output signal from been fedback into IC2..

Technically, IC1a is an integrator, by itself.. :icon_wink:

See also C6 in MXR 120 schematic..

Since this is in the picofarad range wonder how this would work.
It is 365 pF .
Unfortunately my build has no room for it. (Without major surgery)
It is ~ 1.2 x 1.2 x 1.2 inches.

No big deal.
In the shown diagram, caps are in microfarads. A variable cap from the radio won't really work.   ;)

Just try a few different values of R6 or make R6 variable as that works in combination with C6 to determine the characteristics of that integrator type of circuit.

Decided to use an ON ON ON switch.
Will put 1nF in the middle and be able to put 2 others in in parallel.
Like the sound of 0.47nF and 1nf.
Plus another // selection which have have yet to test.

All started with Deadastronauts 3-4-2013 post :
"sounds cool, if a little weak on the envelope..
swapped C6 for a 1nf.....better sweep lo/hi....(in the pf range its mental brightness..but cool too.)"
