What is it with that site and not supplying a schematic? (Copyright I guess)

It makes no sense. They could at least provide a link to the schematic they used, since they almost certainly found it on the web somewhere.

My thoughts exactly, ED.

Not much on this weekend, so I'm going to go back to the start and breadboard it, then work through all the mods/fixups till I get it going.

If I give up, there's a few versions floating around on marketplace.

Edit: schematic seems to be the one off tonepad, and after tracing them both I think I found the mistake, a misplaced 22k resistor.

Changed the resistor, still no luck. Breadboarded it, still no luck. I'm gonna have one last go with a few of the random "swap this resistor value" suggestions on the tagboard thread before I give up and bin this pile of crap.
There's a few gate pedals floating around on FB marketplace for okay money.
