My take on the FV1 Touch / Qubit by leetut:

Mods:
1.) Removed meter function
2.) Added adjustable clock and external feedback controls
3.) Added CV for each of the three main control pots (pots 0-2 per datasheet)
4.) Designed for eurorack

Still a work in progress...

Very nice! I love this sort of stuff!  8)

Looks great! Are you doing PWM for the pot inputs?

dathey

Thanks, but just expanded on the original scheme, of using single and dual pots, that generated analog 0-3.3vdc signals to the stm32.  Ran out of analog inputs on the bluepill...

That's great, I did a similar thing expanding leetut's Qubit to allow for 8 EEPROM chips to give 64 programs. The audio path is a custom preamp which differs to the Qubit. I also removed the ATINY bypass part and added the code to the Bluepill micro dev board instead. I did this because I just really liked the idea and look of the touch screen that letut used with the Qubit.

Sanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting the same result. Mick Taylor

Please at least have 1 forum post before sending me a PM demanding something.

Trying for 256 effects...wish me luck !

ElectricDruid

Wouldn't a better approach for 256 effects be to store all the programs in the uP, connect that to the FV-1 and get it to "fake" the EEPROM? It's only a I2C connection or something, isn't it? And I'm sure there's details of what the FV-1 expects flying around, because I remember seeing it once. Adding yet more EEPROMs seems crazy, especially since each one is a 4K chip, and the FV-1 uses only 128 x 8 = 1K of it. So 3/4ths of each chip is wasted!

Agreed, however, since this is my first foray into programming micro processors, I went with what I knew.

My next approach will be to attempt the Cerebra FV1:

Fair enough. Good policy!!

Yeah, that's the thing! All it needs is the control pots off the other one and it's perfect!
