Like John Deacon I found an old CRT TV circuit board into a construction dumpster a year ago.
I recovered a TDA7267A audio amplifier among other useful parts.

I downloaded the datasheet and connected the IC as suggested. Vs=18v.
Guitar right into it sounds dull and a bit distorted --> load issues most likely.
I added a TL071 before the TDA, "kind of" MXR microamp, and a 50k-A pot between the chips. Set pots to get max clean sound and let MXR Dist+ and Red Fuzz do the dirty job.

A decent sound through a 12" @ 8 ohms.
Clean power is fine for bedroom practice. And when pushed hard the TDA distorts ok, much better than other power chips.
As heat sink I using a paper bulldog clip and a strip of zinc sheet. Works fine :-)
