I would like to know the best way to connect a simple treble boost circuit to a gain or boost as a switchable option with a toggle switch.

I am using this Vox schematic and trying to splice it into a simple single transistor distortion on the breadboard. I have a jumper wire from the output of the treble boost connected inline with the signal path. I have tried it before the gain stage and after the gain stage and either way it is wicking treble from the signal path when bypassed with the toggle.  I put a resistor between the treble boost output and the signal path and it helps, but then the output from the treble boost is reduced when switched on.

Are you sure it's wired up the way you think it is? That toggle switch should remove it from the circuit entirely when it's bypassed.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.
