Excellent! Good work!

QuoteI'd like the effect to be louder but, it's functional! I need to boost the signal coming from Q3 I think to achieve that goal.
My solution for that would be to lower the value of R8 and R26, the dry and wet signal mixer resistors on the final mixer. Halving them would double the effect volume. If that sounds like too much, try 33K instead of 47K.

In theory they should stay the same value because the path through the pre-delay filter around Q2, the BBD, and the post-delay filter around Q3 should be unity gain. And for maximum "chorus" effect, you want the wet and dry levels to be equal. More wet than dry moves you more towards vibrato, and more dry than wet gives you a limited chorus depth.

However, if you wanted to experiment with changing just R26 initially, you'd still be able to balance the levels of the two paths with the Mix control (since that pot's value is in series with R26 and therefore just added to it). Changing just R26 is essentially the "boost the signal coming from Q3" that you were thinking of - a boost going into that final mixer stage.

Why tweaking 2 resistors instead of a singe one (R9), Tom..??
(C5 could be retained for R9 raise up to double..)

Changing R9 also changes the relationship between R9 and R10, but mostly I was just avoiding having to think about the caps. Easier to change the resistors that *don't* have filtering capacitors associated with them.

But sure, why not? Change R9 instead. Make it a bit bigger to boost the overall volume. There's more than one way to tie a knot.

Haven't boxed her up yet.

Why not try both? I'll experiment and post my results! Gunna be a few days though, pretty busy this week.

Thanks!

Does the above also stands for R26..??
(I can see a 33nF cap (C17) in series with it for MNIXZ pot FCW..)

But, I think, we strain at the gnat.. :icon_lol:

@midwestrepairdesk: Don't mess with both modifications unless you aim for a BIG gain increase..
