Common pedal schematics

Hello, i´ve a litle question: What are the most common schematics in the world of guitar pedals?

For example, the tubescremer schematic is easy to find on many pedals. It has a transistor-based input buffer, a distortion/cliping stage and a tone stage which operate with an op-amp, ending with an output buffer.

This pattern exists in, for example, precision drive, jhs drive, etc.

Thanks for your time

I'd guess "the most common schematic" is probably a category that overlaps heavily with "the most-copied pedal".

So, yeah, Tube Screamer is definitely up there. Maybe Big Muff or Proco Rat too. CE-2 for chorus, probably.
There'll be some other little schematics that probably turn up frequently as well - AMZ buffers, maybe, or Mark's SWTC, or the SHO boost.

The Fuzz Face is another circuit that has been copied by almost everyone.

Good question, "most copied", those popular effects have been "copied" and tweaked over and over by the masses from here to Earendel. Here is another question, what is a "New Effect", never heard before. One further than Earendel.

Do you know what you're doing?

IMHO, nothing is "copied"..

Logarithmic amplifiers and active tonestacks lied around long before TubeScreamer emergence..
"I'm getting older while being taught all the time" Solon the Athenian..
"I don't mind  being taught all the time but I do mind a lot getting old" Antonis the Thessalonian..

Distortion+ is one of the most common out there, and you'll find it hiding in may other off-shoots...

MXR Dist +, TS9/808, Easyvibe, Big Muff Pi, Blues Breaker, Guv'nor.  MOSFace, MOS Boost,  BJT boosts - LPB-2, buffers, Phuncgnosis, FF, Orange Sunshine & others, Bazz Fuss, Tonemender, Little Gem, Orange Squeezer, Ruby Tuby, filters, octaves, trems...

The single MOSFET boost stage ala. SHO (not being the first) turns up....everywhere

There are clones of the Dunlop wah pedal plus versions where the inductor is replaced by either a gyrator or some other circuit without an inductor.

Almost everything using a PT2399 for delay / reverb / chorus / echo / slapback has a predictable schematic that has probably been used before and many designs are copied from the app notes.

The Tillman amp shows up on its own and can be considered part of a number of pedals since it is a common-source JFET amplifier and that shows up a lot as a building block for other circuitry.

The gyrator-based graphic equalizer in either op amp or transistor versions show up quite a lot.

Hi,
After a while you start seeing schematics as collections of building blocks. Overdrive/distortion pedals are usually the same blocks with small variations chained in multiple ways.

I love finding out from which "family" a circuit comes from.

Also, this reminded me of this Wampler video:

Some of my friends keep buying the same "modded" tube screamer over and over. At least they know what they like!
