How to Troubleshoot Aion Andromeda pop

Apologies in advance if this is a basic question, but I'm a newbie at troubleshooting. I've built four pedals—three kits and one from scratch—and have been lucky so far!
I built the

kit. It's basically the Nobels ODR-1. It is a great-sounding pedal, but it recently developed a pop when turning on or off. I've replaced the output cap, as I've read about cap leakage, but there was no improvement. Can someone help me figure out how to do other diagnostics and testing of components while they are on the PCB?

For what it's worth, mine has a pop as well. It's very quiet and subtle. Sorry I don't have a fix (nor have I tried though), but I just wanted to point it out in case it helps to know the problem may be wide-spread and not necessarily something you can easily repair.

First thing I would do since it's quick and easy, is disconnect the LED. If that changes the sound I'd add this.

Hi & Welcome.. :icon_wink:

Try to wire 3PDT switch with In and OUT grounded when in bypass mode..
Also, LED anti-pop configuration shouldn't be a bad idea..

edit: I just noticed input's capacitor absence..

Also, do make sure that the problem is this one pedal. We should not assume that you are testing it with no other pedals, and have checked the amp for DC on the input jack.

Dunno if the (discontinued) PN4303 could exhibit a couple of nAs reverse Gate leakage current..
(if so, there could be a fair amount of mV DC built-up on input..)

There is a discrepancey between particular device and general devices datasheets..

also welcome.

aion really should be including the switching setup in his circuit diagrams. without that diagram, we** are just guessing.

Don't they all come with foot switch daughterboards?

Mine has one, but it's been many years so I don't remember if that was an optional add-on (like pedalpcb), but I don't suspect it is because I have my own stash of them and can't imagine I'd have bought it.
